6 Grade of cannabis ranges from the lowest grade to Exotics grade.

Today, UKL will provide a guide to identify the grade of cannabis, which starts with Lows (Reggie) > Mid-grade > Top Shelf > Exotics.

Let’s begin by understanding how to determine the grade of flower buds!

1. Flower Structure:

Top Grade: Flower buds that look the same on both sides and feel a bit sticky, like touching water bubbles.

Medium Grade: Some flower buds are different depending on how they’re treated. They might be a little wet or dry, and there are not as many smaller parts inside.

Low Grade: Flower buds that have changed color, become very dry, and smell like soil because the growing conditions weren’t good.

2. Crystal (Trichome Density):

High-Grade: After the process of drying and curing, trichomes stay in place and cover the surface of the cannabis plant closely.

Medium-Grade: Fewer trichomes, with a moderate trichome covering.

Low-Grade: Very few or almost no trichomes present.

3. Smell (Terpene Profile):

The smell of cannabis flowers tells us how good it is. Good cannabis should have a clear smell, not too grassy or earthy. This smell comes from things called terpenes.

4. Burn:

When cannabis burns evenly and stays the same, it means it was cured well. Curing is done right when the moisture level is around 59-63%.

5. Ash Color:

The leftover ash color shows cannabis quality: white is good, dark isn’t, and gray is in between.

6. Flavor and Effect:

Good cannabis has a unique taste and smell like fruits or wood. Bad cannabis might smell strong and taste unclear. Knowing this helps you pick better cannabis.

Cannabis's Grade

A- (Brick weed):

  • This is like the basic cannabis.
  •  It’s not very pretty, kind of hard, and might have seeds.
  •  It doesn’t have a strong smell or a known type.
  •  It’s cheap and helps save money.

A (Dirt weed):

  • These are bits of cannabis that fell off during trimming.
  • They have leftover trichomes and may have mixed strains.
  • They have a recognizable smell but not very distinct.

AA (Lows):

  • Affordable cannabis for those on a budget.
  • Not too thick, lighter in color, and has a milder smell.
  • It’s like the economy car of cannabis.

AAA (Mid-grade):

  • Common in the market with good quality.
  • Moderately dense buds, a nice smell, and not too green or earthy.
  • It’s like a regular car.

AAAA (Top shelf):

  •  High-quality cannabis with dense trichomes.
  • Clear smell, good burning, and top-notch quality.
  • It’s like a high-end luxury car.

AAAAA (5A/Exotics):

  • The highest grade, rare and top-tier.
  • Very high quality, unique smell, and outstanding features.
  • It’s like a supercar.

Summary:

Understanding these grades helps you know how good the cannabis is. It’s not perfect, but it helps you make smart choices and avoid being tricked by sellers.
And yes, UKL products are on the top shelf or maybe even exotic at a great price.
